haha well it depends on how you define "homeland." I was born in California, and I've lived in the state all the way up until college. I'm living in Hawaii now for grad school in astronomy, and I've been here for two years now. Actually I just earned my Master's degree about a month ago so now I'm a PhD candidate.

Hawaii is a really diverse place to be actually. There are a lot of foreigners, mostly Asian (and within that mostly Japanese haha) who visit. The weather is nice enough that I can wear shorts and tshirt any time of the year at any time of the day hehehe. I also love taking pictures here of everything from the sunset to the rain forest. I also go up to Mauna Kea every once in a while to observe on the telescopes. I created a time-lapse movie of the sky on the mountain, you should check it out it's on my profile.

Oh haha I see. Quite fancy for an event center lol. Flagstaff was actually really nice in May, temperature is not quite as warm as Hawaii but it was still really nice. She actually graduated this year and she moved to Hawaii in June since she got a job at the same institution I work at :). We're both astronomers so it's nice we can talk about things and understand what we're talking about hahaha!

Haha! No problem. It also depends on my mood at the moment lol. Btw when I was driving through Tempe, what is that large tent structure for? Sorry but it's a random question but I haven't really figured that out yet hehe. Yeah you should definitely visit Hawaii; when I was visiting my girlfriend last year (she went to NAU) I had to go through Sky Harbor on Hawaiian airlines. They have some pretty good deals if you're seriously thinking of visiting. Granted the cheapest flight is an 8 AM departure, it's still a good deal. Also return flight arrives at midnight. :D
