Ahhh gotcha, although I have been learning spanish for 6 months (this shocks spanish speakers due to my level) and it's pretty much my third language, it can still be a nightmare when the tenses get involved XD

I have noticed there are some differences in Spain-Spanish and Argentian-Spanish, Mexican-Spanish etc.
