Jeeez that's crazy, we had 2 hour queues on Snowdon this last bank holiday! you are completely right it is too many and I do the same, that bank holiday I was in Snowdonia and I went for a walk one valley away from Snowon and barely saw a soul all day :)
Nice I've been getting out quite a bit recently (the joys of living so clos to the mountains) Where are you going?

Ah yeah the Slovakian side seemed reasonably busy too me but I was there at peak season I guess.

Yeah that is the great thing, I read LotR at least once a year and have read the Silmarillion a few times too, each time I find something I missed the last time such a great piece of work, he created a whole new world with so much detail it is so nice to lose yourself in it :)

Ooh I love the Tatra mountains! I spent a few days there during my gap year tavels, I climbed a few mountains including Krivan but only got one day of sun when I walked up Rysy which is on the border with Poland, such a stunning day! I definitely need to return. I love how much attention is paid to the wildlife there, so much care to ensure it isn't disturbed.
