You are computer savy..and you like genealogy! What a perfect match. I also do genealogy. Two weeks ago I found a gem. I found my paternal grandparents marriage record. Needless to say I was amazed and thrilled. The spelling was all wrong.. but it was them. I never even knew that they got married in the US. These were my favorite grandparents, so it was doubly precious to me.
There are a lot of free sites on the net...Have fun with it.
Horray! My dalhias are coming up and also a tuberose....my cherry tomatoes have flowers. It has been rainy or humid for the past few days so everything is growing welll

Hi Patricia,
I have a dear friend that uses a cane or as walker as well. She is in her 80's. She has cancer and the chemo damaged her legs.
It is very tough...I know she has to watch not to lose her balance.
I have been planting for the past two weeks..all of it on my deck. My grandson helped me by carrying up big bags of potting soil and helping me by carrying down all of the old plant trash in leaf bag.
I have planted lots of bulbs this year..calla lilies, dahlias, some tuberoses. I kove cosmos and have done several pots of those...also tomatoes and herbs. A good friend, who is Vietnamese came over yesterday and helped me plant. She wanted to learn how to cook something American, so I was helping her to learn to cook pot roast.
It was a stunningly beautiful day today!!!!! Sunny...not too warm.
Is your son at Fort Dix? What does he do in the service?
I had a surprise three days ago...a new baby fawn in my backyard. For several years the same mother comes here and has her baby or sometimes twins. They sleep all day, in the yard or under trees and she comes at night and feeds them. It is very sweet!!!!

I am Miriam..75, and live in New Jersey. I am a bookaholic!!! I read and read and read. I belong to Goodreads.....a group online which reviews books and offers contests for early reader..pre publication books. The would like winners to do a review, though it is not required. I have won several books and though that is fun, I think I like best that I am exposed to other genres of reading than I have been used to.
I love gardening and am now planting a front garden which is a fairy garden. I have small houses in it...small plantings of flowers and herbs. It is turning out cute. I plany pots on my deck..flowers and tomatoes.
Gone With The Wind is also one of my favorite books....and movies.
I enjoy theatre, cooking..and must admit I am a foodie. I love to try foods from different cultures.
As for TV I love The Little Couple. It is so sweet! I also like the cooking channel.
I also do genealogy and have for many years. It is like a big puzzle isn't it? I love finding new relatives!!

Hi, I read your bio and thought that I would drop you a line, I live in Arizona, It is hard to find anyone even near my age (88) I am not especially good at computer but I was a Liberian abd remember the first computer I ordered for the Library, It was an Apple and came in a box with no programs installed on it. I had to call the store and spent three hours with a tech giving instructions to get it up. It took many more days to help the staff learn to use it, It was like the blind leading the blind ! Hope to hear from you
