Well, for what you wrote in Italian, I was able to say approximatly what you wrote because it is very similar to french and of my own knowledge. Unfortunetly, where I learn Italian normally, they doesn't make us write full sentences very often, but I was thinking about getting a book about Italian and it's grammar and particularities. :)
Indeed Italy and Canada are very far, if they weren't, I would already be there, haha!

O course! I'd be delighted if you'd help me with Italian, that way, it can be a full language exchange! Though I am afraid that you would probably be more advanced in French then I am with Italian. Io parlo inglese, poco (o pocco?) tedesco é francese.
Anyway, everyone does mistakes while writing french, though you shouldn't be too bad in speaking it, but if you try to pronunce every single syllable, because let me tell you: French is the less phonetic language of BOTH germanic and latin languages.
That's why we say that french is basically two languages :) The written one and the spoken one.
Moving on, I'd love to snailmail occasionally (it is exchanging letters, right?) but I do believe that writing on the internet would be more useful. I have Skype, if you want :)

Oh, Dostoyevskij is one of my favorite authors :) I like Harlan Coben and Agatha Christie, though it's a rather popular choice. Well, I also like Sherlock, but I haven't read that in a while...
